RV Supplies You May Need

So, you bought an RV, now what?

You’ve just purchased your first RV. You’re all set to go on your first trip or hit the road as a full-time RVer, right? Well, you may just need to purchase a few things first.

Just like when you purchase a washer and dryer and find you need to buy not only the vent hose, the water supply lines and the power cords, buying an RV can be a similar experience. In fact you can go overboard in buying “necessities” for your new RV.

Having just purchased our first rig in December, we are fully aware of all the gadgets, accessories, and necessities we found we needed. To help you get started, here’s a quick like of items you more than likely will need to purchase for your RV to get started camping as soon as and as safely as possible:

  • Sewer Hose
  • Sewer Hose Support
  • RV Tank Treatment
  • Disposable Rubber Gloves
  • Surge Protector
  • Dogbone
  • Drinking Water Hose
  • RV Water Pressure Regulator Valve
  • Inline RV Water Filters
  • Flexible Hose Protector
  • Fire Extinguisher
  • Flex Pads for Leveling Blocks
  • Leveling Blocks
  • Wheel Chocks
  • Flashlight or Head Lamp

You may also want to purchase the following comfort items like we did:

  • Blackstone Table Top Griddle
  • Propane Grill
  • Camping Chairs
  • Poopouri
  • DampRid
  • Spacesaver Vacuum Storage Bags
  • Soap and Shower Dispenser
  • Quakehold
  • Metal Squeegee Head with an Extension Handle
  • Ladder
  • Picnic Tablecloth
  • Picnic Tablecloth Clip Holders
  • Camping Mat or at least a Door Mat

As you can imagine, the list of items can be endless. Go slow in your travels and in your purchases. You may not need that widget or gadget once you get in your rig and spend sometime working out your specific needs, your preferences and your availability of storage space. Grab the basics and get out there!

Happy Camping!
